Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (PC)
Server: Ostermark
Guild: The Written Word
Characters:
Cedia Dreamchaser,
High Elf
Archmage
— (Daughter of Cerraline Zephyrpath, White Tower Archmage, Explorer, Diplomat and an unnamed elf.) Cedia is a fairly young elf of average height and weight. Her long coppery hair is almost always askew with long strands falling down into her face, veiling eyes of deep blue that can sometimes appear purple. To the magically attuned, weak eddies of the winds of Ghyran and Ghur seem to constantly swirl about her. She smells faintly of cinnamon and roses.
Ghislaine Carteret,
Empire
Warrior Priest
— (Ghislaine is a miller's daughter who became a Sigmarite to escape the poverty of the Bretonnian countryside.) Strawberry blonde hair frames the face of this young woman, and the clearness of her blue-green eyes suggest a state of tranquility. She appears barely past her teenage years, but the calluses on her hands suggest that she has not led a life of luxury.
Hanni Copperpot,
Dwarf
Engineer
— Keen amber eyes and a wry smile personify this young dwarf. Among the requisite pouches of gunpowder strung around her waist, a few are filled with seeds that are already sprouting small plants. Her face and clothes are dirt-smudged, but the rifle slung along her back gleams with a lovingly-rubbed polish.
Age of Conan (PC)
Server: Hyperborea (RP-PvP)
Characters:
Canlacha of the lost clan Shanainn,
Cimmerian
Dark Templar
— After playing almost all the classes, I think I've finally chosen which one I like best. Tanks with magic are what I usually gravitate to, too bad this class concept is so dark, emo, and Goth. (I shit bats!) Canlacha's story is long, but can probably be summed up by the quote, "I did it fer love."
Liarae Brightblade,
Aquilonian
Guardian
— A Gunderman from the high hills of Aquilonia, Liarae has decided to travel south in order to serve King Conan and deal with the Stygian threat.
Riala Tairesh,
Stygian
Assassin
— Abandoned on the streets of Khemi at a very young age, Riala learned to steal food and remain hidden from the city's guards. Sneaking out into the wilds, she became adept at treasure hunting, and was "recruited" into Stygia's overarching league of assassins.
Rintara Rhiergan,
Cimmerian
Bear Shaman
— Rintara was made clan medicine woman at the age of twenty-one after the death of her father. Not long afterwards, Clan Rhiergan was attacked by a rival chieftain, the members then sold into slavery.
Tashira Naitari,
Stygian
Herald of Xotli
— At age twelve, Tashira was inducted into the Cult of Xotli against her will, and, like all cult members, infused with some of the demonic god's essence. Six years later she was captured while trying to escape the Cult and sold into slavery.
City of Heroes (PC)
Server: Virtue
Guild: Travellers
Characters:
Brightblade,
Magic
Tanker
— I made Brightblade when the Dual Blades powerset was added to the game.
Dreamchaser,
Natural
Controller
— Dreamchaser is a nature spirit who was called into physical manifestation by Baron Zoria in 1892 as an initial display of his powers. She was too weak for his nefarious purposes, however, and has only managed to break free from his grasp recently. Although somewhat bewildered with the prospect of being treated like a human, she nevertheless has sworn to protect Paragon City.
Nightwail,
Mutant
Defender
— Nightwail was one of my villains whose backstory I really loved. Unfortunately I never really liked the villains side, but with the powerpools being crossed over, I decided to reroll her as a hero. So far the least boring and most helpful of all my characters.
Sun Scarab,
Magic
Scrapper
— City of Heroes is another game that we still play on and off. Sun Scarab was my original character. She was a fire/fire Tanker, and the Tanker was just horrible, so I rerolled her as a Blaster... and now a Scrapper! Finally fun!
Tempest 603,
Science
Mastermind
— With the "Going Rogue" expansion announced, I decided to start another Mastermind. I enjoyed the pet class before, but I hated being a villain. I'm hoping that someday I can "betray" to the Hero side with her.
Dark Age of Camelot (PC)
Characters:
Asliantha Leiraina,
Elf
Champion
— My last character in DAoC. Basically, Hubby and I decided to come back, and we both figured Nimue Hibernia was the best place to roleplay. I met some good friends there, and hooked up with some old ones.
Cedia Eowyde,
Elf
Ranger
— My first DAoC character. This was the character I played in the guild beta with the Shadow Rangers from UO Catskills. They eventually went back to UO after release, and I drifted through many other DAoC characters after that. Most of my stories are at www.poesies.com/shtuff
Iae Russetleaf,
Elf
Ranger
— Back to Percival. More hell. I became friends with the man who would become the Mythic dev Mackey. And then he started stalking me as well. When I wouldn't give in to his plans, he blacklisted me on the server. Yay. I went to Midgard after that.
Sierieda Sablehair,
Norse
Bard
— My first trip to Midgard. I hooked up with a great guild from recommendatons from the VN board, and things were pretty good. However, I missed being an elf too much.
Silmandra "Lost Star",
Elf
Eldritch
— After the stalking and deletion of my character on Percival, I tried Nimue. I joined a very nice guild called Penumbra, but it folded shortly after due to (more) asshole players. Silmandra was very tiresome to play, because she was schizophrenic. She was based on the movie "A Beautiful Life".
Talith Moonshadow,
Elf
Nightshade
— My first character on Percival, also the one I played the longest. Too bad I had to kill her off (ie. delete her) because I was being stalked by another player.
Vaia Greyspire,
Elf
Champion
— And here's where the story does a turnaround. I played Vaia for quite awhile, after having vowed that I would never join a guild with her. Made some friends. Ended up marrying one of them. We were pretty tired of DAoC at that point, so we tried Shadowbane.
Everquest II (PC)
Server: Antonia Bayle
Characters:
Dreamchaser,
High Elf
Conjurer
—
Tielis Lra,
Dark Elf
Monk
— The only character that I really love in EQ2. I really love EQ2 as well, but there is no PvP (other than gankfest servers), so Hubby doesn't like it. If they added something like a WoW battleground, I could see us playing this game fulltime.
Guild Wars (PC)
Guild: Sanctum Cay Pirates
Characters:
Inina Silkenthorn,
Necromancer
— Hubby and I play Guild Wars on and off, even today. Inina is the only character that I still play that I started at release.
Lord of the Rings Online (PC)
Server: Landroval
Characters:
Cedia Dreamchaser,
Elf
Rune-Keeper
— Cedia has come from her home at the underground court of King Thranduil to investigate the troubles in Eriador she has recently uncovered through her divinations. Her parents forbade the journey and threatened renunciation, but that has not stopped the headstrong young elf.
Ghisele Springmountain,
Race of Man
Lore-master
— Giving this game another shot due to the Age of Conan debacle. My research shows me that the best partner for a Hunter is a Lore-master. I'm enjoying the class this time around, surprisingly enough.
Liarie Bladebright,
Elf
Guardian
— I really love this game. Unfortunately, the game HATES duos. Hubby and I have lifetime subscriptions, but they only get used every few months, when we log in to try to complete a group quest that cons GREY, get our asses kicked, and log off in disgust.
Shadowbane (PC-MAC)
Characters:
Cyn Howling Mist,
Aelfborn
Ranger
— The character I played during my courtship with my husband. Some pretty racy stories going on then... I took Cyn to Star Wars Galaxies, but the only thing I remember about that game is my husband's character proposing on the top of some tower somewhere.
Gracye Silverhoof,
Centaur
Crusader
— Hubby and I really wanted to play this game, but server issues kind of put a stop to that. By the time we came back months later, the Mourning server (and Gracye) were gone.
Ultima Online (PC)
Server: Catskills
Guild: Knights of Yew
Characters:
Lucetta DiMaio,
— Catskills server, 1996 until beta for Dark Age of Camelot. Knights of Yew guild, the best guild I have ever been in. And it was a complete accident that I ever met them. Thank God for you, Zed, wherever you are! KoY saw me through a messy divorce and even messier experience since I was living in Brooklyn on 9/11. Character development forced me to join the Paladins of Trinsic, but unfortunately their draconian policies and "Lord of the Flies" behavior pushed me out of UO for good.
World of Warcraft (PC-MAC)
Characters:
Cedia,
Level 73
Night Elf
Druid
— http://www.wowwiki.com/Server:Wyrmrest_Accord_US/Cedia ------
It took me four years and three months (and don't ask how many other characters) to finally find the class that suits me. Troubles ahead, though, probably, because I really like being a Night Elf Mage, but I refuse to be a fat ugly Moonkin. When dual speccing goes in, I'll probably end up being a tree most of the time anyway.
Cerraline,
Level 65
Night Elf
Death Knight
— I wanted another dual-wielding Night Elf, but didn't want another Rogue and I hate the rage mechanic for Warriors. So, I conformed with the masses once again.
Dreamchaser,
— With dual speccing in, basically, if you have a character that has any kind of heal button, you are expected to heal groups no matter what you like to do. I'm not good at healing and I don't like to do it, so I decided to replace my Druid.
Iastine Emberdawn,
— My Blood Elf Retribution Paladin. Another character that I got bored of.
Liarie Brightblade,
— My last chance at WoW. Blood Elf Protection Paladin, since I liked the Guardian class so much in LotRO. I finally really got into this character, but the rep/gear grind just got too mindnumbing.
Neliatania Flamefeather,
— We decided to try WoW again after Burning Crusade came out, and we rolled Blood Elves. This is my Hunter, which I became bored with. Moon Guard, however, is by far the best RP server ever in WoW.
Rintara Bloodrender,
— My Orc Enhancement Shaman. I liked the Shaman class, but I ended up not really liking the orc. So sue me, I like to be pretty.
Tirasa Moonwhisper,
— It started out well when WoW released. AD was the Eastern RP server, and Hubby and I started a Rogue/Hunter only guild, and also started a roleplay guild alliance. A year and a half later, it all fell apart. Blame the egos of people whose only accomplishment is getting ahead in a video game.
